It is not necessary to donate and or help me, and in truth I would rather you give to the charities I have listed. Because when our government and politicians fail to care for the people, when the leaders we elect fail to protect our neighbors, it falls to us, not in a political way but in a spiritual and communal way, as sons and daughters of God/Allah/Yahweh. We are called to care for one another… the sick, the homeless, the hungry the hurt, and the unheard. This is what God/Allah/Yahweh, and Jesus/Yeshua, commands us to do.

I am not a rich man. Honestly my wife and I run a small cleaning and handyman business that provides us with enough to cover our bills, care for our family, and still give back to our community. We do not value material things, we value the bonds we forge, the memories we make, and the way we treat others, even those who treat us poorly. Over the years, we have used what we have to buy food, clothing, hygiene products, diapers, formula, and supplies for families who cannot reach the food pantry, for the veterans left alone in nursing homes, and for children who arrive at school, hungry or in need. I rarely ask for help because I have always had to figure life out alone, but if you choose to give, know this… your gift will not be wasted. It will become food, warmth, dignity, and hope for someone who needs it. And if you choose not to give,

All I ask is that you help someone in your own way and, I mean actually help them, be a shoulder, a hand, a voice that helps them heal. Free from shame, judgement and or the hate towards them or their communities. Please…I beg you, to go out and get to know your neighbors, actually listen to them. They hurt just as much as you and I currently do or have in the past. Be the silver lining in their story, because you never know, it could be the story they tell, that walked back from the edge.
